The Job:
Responsible for driving value and aligning procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will involve purchasing a variety of indirect products and services.
- Ownership and management of Maintenance, Repair, Operations & Engineering category spend.
- Purchasing indirect products, services and contracts in line with the company's requirements and ensuring measurable commercial and operational outcomes.
- Building and developing strong supplier relationships.
- Monitoring supplier data to ensure performance levels are within agreed SLAs.
- Carrying out supplier visits and audits.
- Implementing and embedding procurement improvements.
- Engaging with stakeholders, driving budget compliance and developing tender specifications.
Required experience:
- At least 6 years' experience in a Senior Buyer role or a Purchasing Manager level role with high spend responsibility.
- At least 5 years' experience purchasing engineering, maintenance, repair, operations and contract services.
- Proven solid negotiation skills.
- Experience within manufacturing purchasing is an advantage.
- CIPS qualification.
