We are seeking a candidate who is experienced in servicing and fault finding on JCB and Manitou Fork Lift Trucks.
Duties:
- To be responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of JCB and Manitou machinery.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and servicing.
- Diagnose and repair problems with the FLTs - fault finding and diagnostics on diesel, LPG and electric equipment ensuring the machinery will operate to a high standard in alignment with the manufacturers' specification, and is safe to use.
- Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Work with service and workshop managers and ensure timelines are met.
Requirements:
- Time served forklift, plant or materials handling engineer.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic engineer experience.
- Good working knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and control systems.
- Experience of working on counterbalance, reach trucks and other MHE is ideal.
- Possess a Full UK driving licence (Company van is provided for company use only).
- Well organised, reliable and professional.
- Hands-on, practical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of customers on various sites.
This role involves travelling to different locations across the North, so flexibility is required. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 17.00pm (45 hour week). Overtime is based on £27.00 per hour.
