I'm currently working with a well-established structural engineering consultancy based in Hemel Hempstead that is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join its growing team. With a strong reputation across the residential sector, the business delivers a broad range of projects including bespoke residential properties, large-scale housing developments, apartment schemes, and mixed-use developments for a loyal and expanding client base. The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of a variety of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with developers, architects, contractors, and private clients to provide practical and efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing structural calculations, reports, and technical drawings
- Assisting with the design and delivery of residential and mixed-use projects
- Attending client and design team meetings
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and external consultants
- Working alongside senior engineers on larger schemes
- Supporting junior technicians where appropriate
- Contributing to project delivery across multiple schemes

Requirements
- 2-7 years’ experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy
- Strong technical design experience across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Experience working on residential-led projects
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ambitious and motivated to progress your career
- Working towards Chartership, or with aspirations to become Chartered
