Senior Security Engineer

Location

Central London – on site 5 days per week.

Security Clearance

Eligible for or currently hold SC or DV. Candidates must be sole UK/British and have resided in the UK for 10 years and over.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Provide second and third level technical support on incidents and problems.
  • Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality.
  • Create, maintain, and utilise documentation.
  • Requirements consulting, design, implementation and maintenance of security toolsets and integrations.
  • Assist the Account Security Team with processes and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Working to ITIL best practices.
  • Desire to improve processes and look for root cause of problems.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.
  • Proactive approach towards identifying risks and problems.
  • Assist in shaping future security services on key client accounts.

Desirable Skills and Technologies

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of networking.
  • Experience in design, implementation and ongoing management of security toolsets and technologies within both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Experience or knowledge of operating systems, PKI, anti-virus, firewalls, device and application control, privileged access management, vulnerability management, security monitoring.
  • Comfortable with scripting (Power Shell, Bash).
  • Good understanding of non-functional/quality requirements within security toolset designs.
  • Strong awareness of governance, risk and compliance.
  • Awareness and understanding of modern technology tools (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker) and their security considerations.
  • Ability to communicate key details of technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to plan, design and demonstrate proof of concepts relating to a variety of security toolsets.
