Senior Security Engineer
Location
Central London β on site 5 days per week.
Security Clearance
Eligible for or currently hold SC or DV. Candidates must be sole UK/British and have resided in the UK for 10 years and over.
- Role Responsibilities
- Provide second and third level technical support on incidents and problems.
- Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality.
- Create, maintain, and utilise documentation.
- Requirements consulting, design, implementation and maintenance of security toolsets and integrations.
- Assist the Account Security Team with processes and policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Working to ITIL best practices.
- Desire to improve processes and look for root cause of problems.
- Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.
- Proactive approach towards identifying risks and problems.
- Assist in shaping future security services on key client accounts.
Desirable Skills and Technologies
- Solid knowledge and understanding of networking.
- Experience in design, implementation and ongoing management of security toolsets and technologies within both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience or knowledge of operating systems, PKI, anti-virus, firewalls, device and application control, privileged access management, vulnerability management, security monitoring.
- Comfortable with scripting (Power Shell, Bash).
- Good understanding of non-functional/quality requirements within security toolset designs.
- Strong awareness of governance, risk and compliance.
- Awareness and understanding of modern technology tools (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker) and their security considerations.
- Ability to communicate key details of technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
- Ability to plan, design and demonstrate proof of concepts relating to a variety of security toolsets.
