Global studio is seeking a Senior Architect (Rail Transport Specialist) to join their growing Architecture team in Bristol or Birmingham. This role is central to expanding their transport portfolio, with a specific focus on the design and delivery of railway stations and depots. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and grow the transport team
- Work across landmark rail projects.
- Lead coordination with local authorities and consultants.
- Produce and manage design and technical information.
- Ensure that the design of stations integrates seamlessly with the surrounding urban environment.
- Collaborate with other disciplines, such as civil engineering, structural engineering, and mechanical and electrical engineering, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in transport architecture and building technology.
Skills and Experience:
- ARB registration with proven UK experience.
- Shall demonstrate experience in fulfilling the role of Project Architect for at least one Rail Depot project, from inception to construction completion.
- Confidence working in multidisciplinary design teams and leading as a Project Architect on complex rail projects.
- Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and a collaborative approach to guiding and developing colleagues.
- Proven technical capability in detail design, NBS specification, project documentation, construction supervision, commercial and contractual awareness.
- Strong digital skills, including competency in Revit and InDesign, and experience with SketchUp, Photoshop or Illustrator.
