We are partnering with a globally recognised, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and technically excellent solutions across infrastructure, buildings, and complex development projects. With a strong and growing presence in the UK, this organisation collaborates with developers, architects, and contractors across the full project lifecycle—from concept through to construction and delivery. Their geotechnical team plays a critical role in major infrastructure and building projects, delivering expertise in ground engineering, soil–structure interaction, and foundation design across diverse and challenging environments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team.
The Role
You will contribute to the design and delivery of geotechnical solutions on a wide range of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking geotechnical analysis and design (foundations, slopes, retaining structures)
- Supporting and managing site investigations and ground assessments
- Producing technical reports, calculations, and design documentation
- Working on earthworks, deep excavations, and ground improvement solutions
- Collaborating with structural, civil, and infrastructure teams
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
About You
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in geotechnical design within a consultancy environment
- Working toward or achieved Chartered status (ICE/IStructE or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground behaviour
- Familiarity with geotechnical software (e.g. PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
