An established and growing building services engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in London. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering high‑quality, innovative engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role
- Lead and contribute to the delivery of electrical design solutions across multiple sectors, ensuring high technical standards and effective coordination within multidisciplinary teams.
- Support the development of junior engineers while working closely with clients and project stakeholders to deliver efficient, compliant, and forward-thinking designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design across a range of projects and sectors.
- Produce detailed calculations, specifications, reports, and technical drawings.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of design information at all project stages.
- Coordinate with internal and external CAD/Revit teams.
- Develop and present technical solutions aligned to client briefs.
- Monitor project progress, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Identify and manage risks, technical challenges, and client feedback.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, promoting best practice and engineering standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and wider design teams, presenting design strategies clearly to stakeholders.
- Build strong professional relationships and support future business development through project engagement.

- Typically 5+ years’ experience within a building services consultancy.
- Working towards or holding professional accreditation (e.g., CIBSE, IET).
- Experience across a variety of sectors and project types.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Able to manage workload across multiple projects.
- Comfortable working both independently and within teams.
