We are recruiting a Senior Data Architect to join a specialist advisory organisation operating at the intersection of financial services and technology. With a history operating in regulated environments, the business supports institutions where technology carries significant financial and regulatory impact. This is a key role within a growing Data & AI capability responsible for shaping and governing enterprise data architecture to support analytics, reporting and advanced AI use cases in complex, regulated environments. This position is a senior technical leadership role where you will provide architectural oversight rather than hands‑on delivery. You will play a critical role in ensuring data is trusted, well‑designed, and aligned to both business priorities and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
- Shape and evolve enterprise-wide data architecture to support strategic business objectives and technology direction
- Develop robust data designs to enable scalable analytics, reporting and AI capabilities
- Define and embed architectural frameworks and standards across the data environment
- Provide governance and design assurance to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with regulatory expectations
- Enable strong data management practices including governance, lineage and data quality
- Contribute to the development of strategic data roadmaps, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term goals
- Ensure data platforms and solutions meet requirements for security, performance, resilience, and compliance
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior data architecture role
- Strong knowledge of data architecture principles including data modelling and platform design
- Experience designing data solutions for analytics, reporting and Machine Learning use cases
- Experience working within regulated environments (e.g. financial services, insurance, banking)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
