The Company A leading UK manufacturer is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join its established engineering department.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious engineering professional looking to step into a senior leadership position with a clear progression pathway towards Engineering Manager.
Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll play a pivotal role in driving engineering performance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement while supporting the Engineering Manager in the day-to-day running of the department.
Key responsibilities include
- Supporting the Engineering Manager with the day-to-day management of the engineering department.
- Leading and developing a team of Engineering Shift Supervisors, ensuring high levels of performance and accountability.
- Coordinating maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and maintenance operations.
- Monitoring engineering KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the site.
- Supporting planned maintenance strategies and engineering projects.
- Providing occasional shift and weekend cover when operationally required.
The Candidate To be successful in this role you will have
- Previous experience in a senior engineering leadership role such as Engineering Supervisor, Senior Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor or similar.
- Strong experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in a continuous process or heavy industrial setting.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving performance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- A recognised engineering qualification (electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled).
