SC Cleared Software Developer (Power Platform) - £650/day Inside IR35 - London (2 days/week) - Government
This contract is paying £650 per day (Inside IR35) for around 5 months, with the possibility of extension.
The role requires 2 days per week on-site in Westminster, with the remaining time remote.
You will develop and enhance critical digital services using Microsoft Power Platform alongside broader software engineering principles to deliver scalable, user‑focused solutions.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Lead teams of Power Platform specialists within a government environment.
- Design and build applications using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
- Develop and integrate services within a wider architecture.
- Ensure solutions are user‑focused, accessible, and aligned to government standards.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code/configuration.
- Support issue investigation, resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Apply secure development practices, including awareness of OWASP principles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clearly communicate technical concepts.
- Integrate with wider enterprise systems and APIs, Azure‑based environments as desirable.
- Use source control and CI/CD practices.
- Deliver in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira or Azure Dev Ops.
Qualifications
- Active SC Clearance (essential).
- Leadership experience working for a government end client.
- Strong experience building solutions using Power Platform in production environments.
- Solid software development background beyond low‑code tools.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and non‑technical users.
- Experience breaking down requirements, refining work items, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Understanding of clean coding practices and maintaining scalable solutions.
- Appreciation of software architecture principles and integration patterns.
Compensation & Location
£650 per day (Inside IR35) in London, 2 days per week on-site in Westminster and remote work elsewhere.
