Are you an organised, technically-minded engineer with hands-on electrical systems and project experience, looking to join a specialist company offering career progression and flexible working? You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of site electrical systems, including HV and LV distribution, lighting, lightning protection, electrostatic discharge, and electronic control systems, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
In this role you will lead electrical projects from planning through delivery, including preparation of design drawings, specification documents, and capital expenditure proposals, as well as management of on-site contractors to deliver technically compliant solutions. You will also oversee testing, maintenance, and upgrades, and support continuous improvement initiatives, including energy efficiency and operational enhancements.
This position is ideal for an engineer with proven electrical expertise who understands project delivery in a regulated environment and wants to play a key role in a company that is continuously growing and developing its technical capabilities.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of electrical engineering projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and manage contractors to deliver technically compliant electrical solutions, including testing, maintenance, and statutory inspections.
- Support continuous improvement and development of site electrical systems, controls, and processes, including energy efficiency and operational enhancements.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline) with proven experience in electrical distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Proactive, organised, and capable of managing projects from start to finish, with strong communication, team-working, and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in project management and contractor coordination, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or similar is desirable.
