We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join the Facilities Management team on a large commercial site in Salford. The role involves delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
  • Fault-find, repair, and maintain lighting, power, emergency lighting, and distribution systems.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems as required.
  • Complete testing, inspection, and associated certification in line with BS 7671.
  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation and site procedures.
  • Accurately complete job reports, compliance records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Liaise with FM teams, supervisors, and other trades to minimise disruption.
  • Support out-of-hours works and emergency call-outs when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a commercial or FM Electrician.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
  • Experience working in large commercial environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671).
  • AM2 Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent) desirable.
  • ECS / JIB Gold Card.
  • Desirable FM or building maintenance experience.
  • IPAF, PASMA, or similar site certifications.
