About the Role
Dav-Tech Plating is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Safety Coordinator to oversee, maintain, and elevate our workplace safety program. In this role, you will split your time between administrative oversight in the office and active engagement on the production floor. You will be the driving force behind our safety culture—leading training initiatives, conducting audits, and ensuring our team, contractors, and guests remain safe every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Oversight: Manage all company-wide safety compliance programs, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA and all other applicable state, local, and environmental regulatory requirements.
- Audits & Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections and job site audits to proactively identify, mitigate, and prevent workplace hazards.
- Training & Culture: Lead safety-related training sessions and serve as the primary point of contact for safety concerns from both employees and management.
- Floor Management: Oversee the daily safety of production employees, contractors, and guests, ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Emergency Preparedness: Support, update, and manage emergency preparedness plans and safety drills.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience: 2–5 years of dedicated experience in workplace safety or OSHA compliance.
- Licensing: Minimum Grade 3 Wastewater License is REQUIRED.
- Certifications: Active First Aid / CPR certification.
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong, working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards. Familiarity with environmental and safety requirements specific to chemical/plating environments (or the ability to quickly learn Dav-Tech specific standards). Proactive, solution-oriented approach to hazard prevention and risk mitigation.
- Communication & Tech: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment.
