The Role
We are looking for an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to oversee the development and management of internal policies and procedures, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements. The role is broad and involves:
- Managing reporting obligations to the SRA
- Delivering regular compliance training
- Conducting file audits
- Ensuring GDPR compliance and managing secure file transfers
- Advising on internal conduct and ethics queries
- Advising on KYC, AML and financial crime
- Managing claims and complaints
- Insurance renewals
The Requirements
It is anticipated that you will have at least five years' experience as a risk and compliance manager in a law firm, and we are open to someone coming from a larger firm seeking a sole role or a smaller firm seeking more international and complex work. Law firm experience is essential due to the standalone nature of the role. An advantage if you are admitted as a solicitor in the UK or a similar overseas jurisdiction.
