Your Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Kier Nuvia Joint Venture (KNJV) within the STEP Programme. You will play a pivotal role in delivering package proposals and ensuring exceptional value for money management. Your contributions will help maximize profitability, improve cash flow, and manage commercial risks while fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Support the delivery of commercial objectives, profitability targets, and cash performance across the programme.
- Provide commercial advice to project teams and develop detailed cost forecasts and performance reports.
- Administer NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings, and contractual notices.
- Manage subcontractors from procurement through to final account, fostering collaborative relationships throughout.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, while mentoring junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence, or complex construction projects.
- You possess demonstrable experience in managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
- You have a thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
- You excel in cost planning, forecasting, and reporting, with excellent negotiation skills.
- You can think strategically, manage risk effectively, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
