Join our team as a Repairs and Maintenance Officer. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in building construction or surveying, who is skilled in diagnosing repairs and managing maintenance works. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Undertake inspections of work following repair requests, diagnosing necessary repairs, specifying, and ordering works.
  • Carry out joint inspections with Neighbourhood Officers, providing assistance and guidance on general maintenance issues.
  • Specify, monitor, and control works to properties, assess the standards of tenant’s improvements, and advise on alteration requests.
  • Liaise with in-house repairs contractors and specialist sub-contractors to ensure works are completed satisfactorily.
  • Deal effectively with contractors, other agencies, and ensure high-quality customer care during site visits.
  • Conduct stock condition and dilapidation surveys.
  • Produce high-quality reports that diagnose repairs and investment requirements, with recommendations for senior managers.
  • Manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritising tasks effectively under pressure.
