Electrical Shift Engineer Redhill £58,000 + Outstanding Benefits Package
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a growing critical environment facility in Surrey.
Working within a small and supportive engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining uptime across critical infrastructure while benefiting from industry leading training and clear progression pathways.
The role operates on a continental days and nights shift pattern, averaging just 14 shifts per month, offering excellent work life balance alongside a highly competitive package.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across critical electrical and building services infrastructure
- Monitoring critical plant and responding to alarms and incidents
- Working on UPS systems, generators, LV switchgear, cooling systems, and associated infrastructure
- Completing routine inspections, plant checks, and operational monitoring
- Supporting reactive maintenance and first line fault diagnosis
- Maintaining accurate shift logs, reports, and handovers
- Supporting specialist contractors during maintenance activities
- Operating within Permit to Work and safe isolation procedures
- Supporting the site's LVAP and HVAP authorisation programme
- Ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance
What We're Looking For
- Electrical engineering background
- Experience within a critical environment such as Data Centres, Banking, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical, or similar high uptime facilities
- Strong understanding of electrical building services infrastructure
- Experience working within a permit to work environment
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Professional attitude and willingness to develop technically
