The Construction Supervisor’s primary role is to work in conjunction with Project Managers to assure jobs are completed in a timely fashion and according to customer requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for checking the quality of work performed on construction sites and remedying quality as necessary.
- Provide direction to staff to ensure efficient and cost effective operation within approved operating budgets.
- Responsible for total management of assigned staff, including hiring, disciplining, training and supervision of employees.
- Coordinate construction plans with crews and sub-contractors.
- Complete and maintain all necessary project paperwork.
- Communicate with management on project progress and developments.
- Serve as the liaison between the Company, customers and utilities.
- Responsible for ordering and tracking construction materials.
- May lay-out and design construction maps, and work from the maps of others.
- Identify unsafe / hazardous conditions for self, other employees, customers, and the general public.
- Adhere to all established company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have good customer relations and communication skills.
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Must have RF & OSP construction experience.
- Be self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have at least five (5) years’ experience as communications construction supervisor.
- Must have a valid driver's license with 2 years' driving experience and a clear driving record.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ability to pass a criminal background screen.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background test.
- Pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
