The Construction Supervisor’s primary role is to work in conjunction with Project Managers to assure jobs are completed in a timely fashion and according to customer requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for checking the quality of work performed on construction sites and remedying quality as necessary.
  • Provide direction to staff to ensure efficient and cost effective operation within approved operating budgets.
  • Responsible for total management of assigned staff, including hiring, disciplining, training and supervision of employees.
  • Coordinate construction plans with crews and sub-contractors.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary project paperwork.
  • Communicate with management on project progress and developments.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Company, customers and utilities.
  • Responsible for ordering and tracking construction materials.
  • May lay-out and design construction maps, and work from the maps of others.
  • Identify unsafe / hazardous conditions for self, other employees, customers, and the general public.
  • Adhere to all established company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have good customer relations and communication skills.
  • Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Must have RF & OSP construction experience.
  • Be self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have at least five (5) years’ experience as communications construction supervisor.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with 2 years' driving experience and a clear driving record.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a criminal background screen.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background test.
  • Pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
