Lead Design Engineer - Water & Wastewater Location: Chilcompton, Somerset Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £55k-£70k plus package and benefits
Responsibilities
- Lead multi‑disciplinary design teams across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, process and ICA disciplines.
- Manage technical delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports.
- Ensure compliance with UK standards, regulations and CDM 2015 requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction and contribute to bids and design reviews.
- Mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
- Build strong client relationships and represent the business at meetings and workshops.
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
- Significant experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary design teams.
- Strong knowledge of UK design standards and CDM 2015.
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer (or working toward chartership).
- Experience with BIM and design tools such as Revit, Civil 3D or Auto CAD.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and AMP programme delivery.
