I am currently working with a public sector organisation on an Interim Quantity Surveyor role, to work on a vast social housing portfolio. They are able to offer the below:
- Contract Length: 6 months rolling, with a start date towards the start of May
- Working pattern: 37 hours a week contract
- Rate: Offering a competitive day rate and flexible depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to hit the ground running in all general quantity surveyor disciplines
- Competent record keeping, able to deliver accurate details in monthly meetings
- Ability to manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting across multiple, high value projects
- Preparing tender and contract documents, whilst supporting the procurement processes
- Looking after costs of projects, finding pathways to increase efficiency
- Liaising with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders
About you:
- Experience across public sector organisations, social housing experience also preferable
- A relevant QS or Building qualification
- Proven ability dealing with JCT contracts and minor/reactive works
- Able to not need micromanaging and manage a busy workload effectively
