Our client, a leading food and packaging manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for driving quality excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the business. You will work closely with production, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet the highest quality standards, reduce complaints, and support certification to BRCGS Packaging, ISO 14001 & 45001, and HACCP standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional looking to lead a dynamic team, manage audits, and influence business-wide quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of QHSE in achieving business targets for complaints, internal NCs, and cost reductions
  • Ensure compliance with ISO & BRC standards
  • Lead and support customer and third-party audits
  • Manage customer complaints end-to-end, including root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Chair monthly quality meetings and report on quality KPIs and trends
  • Work with internal teams and suppliers to improve product quality
  • Develop, manage, and train your team, maintaining a training matrix
  • Participate in HACCP and internal audit teams
  • Support decisions on product disposition (scrap, rework, reclaim, rewind, etc.)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience in food or packaging manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS Packaging standards, HACCP (Level 3+), ISO 14001 & 45001
  • Experienced in customer complaint handling, root cause analysis, and audit management
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Degree in a scientific, engineering, or manufacturing discipline
  • Practical experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Kaizen, 5S) is highly desirable
