A thriving manufacturing / engineering company in Stockport is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join its established team. This is a newly created position due to company growth and will give you the chance to play a key role in ensuring product and process quality whilst supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

If you are a technically strong and detail-oriented Quality professional with a background in mechanical engineering, this could be 'the one' for you!

What will the role involve?

  • Leading quality activities across manufacturing operations including conducting quality audits
  • Managing customer complaints, warranties and non-conformances
  • Supporting supplier quality management, including corrective actions, supplier evaluation and supplier audits
  • Maintaining documentation within the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
  • Collaborating with technical teams to resolve product and process quality issues
  • Generating KPIs and management reports to analyse trends and drive quality improvements
  • Delivering quality awareness and training sessions for colleagues across the business
  • Utilising root cause analysis methods such as 8D, Ishikawa and 5 Why
