We are seeking a technically strong Project Engineer / Technology Engineer to support innovation projects across the HS1 asset base. The role will focus on automation, digital technologies, and improving maintenance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovation and technology projects across HS1
  • Support automation of inspection and maintenance activities
  • Implement emerging technologies and digital solutions
  • Drive operational efficiency and asset performance improvements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering technology or innovation projects
  • Exposure to drones and/or remote condition monitoring
  • Strong technical mindset with software/systems understanding
  • Ability to work autonomously and engage senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in a regulated engineering environment

Desirable

  • Rail, infrastructure, or asset management experience
  • Exposure to AI, automation, digital inspection, or smart technologies
  • Knowledge of One Big Circle, AiVR, or Transmission Dynamics

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Technology, Software, or Computer Science (desirable)
  • Chartered Engineer status, or working towards
