My client is a North East based, thriving engineering business, providing services to the offshore and windfarm sectors. Owing to sustained growth, they are seeking an ambitious and driven Project Engineer to join their growing team and take ownership of the offshore handover and execution phases of their renewable energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to take the next step in their career within a fast‑paced and expanding sector.

The Role

As Project Engineer, you will manage the successful handover of projects from manufacturing through to offshore execution, ensuring campaigns are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You will be the key point of coordination between internal teams, offshore personnel, and clients throughout the delivery phase of each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage offshore project handover phases for manufactured ICCP systems
  • Develop, prepare and present installation methodologies and work packs to clients
  • Produce visual installation plans using Navisworks and Autodesk Inventor
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities with Offshore Works teams including:
    • Document Control
    • HSE
    • Offshore Technicians
    • Operations support teams
  • Lead regular client progress meetings (primarily online, with some onsite attendance)
  • Support mobilisation, offshore campaign planning and post-installation close out
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with project schedules, quality requirements and HSE standards
  • Attend offshore or site locations when required (work uplifts applicable)

The Person

  • Previous experience in a Technical / Project Engineer or similar delivery role
  • Experience within offshore renewables, marine, fabrication, engineering or related sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of Navisworks and Autodesk Inventor
  • Ability to produce and present installation / works methodologies confidently to clients
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence
