Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking for an opportunity to lead high-value CAPEX and engineering projects within a successful and growing manufacturing business?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer seeking a proactive and driven Project Engineer to deliver a variety of engineering and capital investment projects from concept through to installation, commissioning and handover.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of significant projects, influence operational improvements, and play a key role in the future development of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering and CAPEX projects from initial concept through to completion.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions that maximise return on investment.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, risk assessments, commissioning and final handover.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise operational disruption during project implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support engineering best practices across the site.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- An Engineering Degree or a completed Mechanical/Electrical Apprenticeship.
- A minimum of 5 years' engineering experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience delivering engineering, maintenance, or CAPEX projects.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Experience using CAD software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
