Job Description Product Development Engineer

Opportunity for a proven Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience. Electromechanical position that will see you support with both design and build / testing of equipment. Good mix of CAD desk work and hands on testing / assembly. Flexible day shift working hours, scope for progression, and excellent working culture.

Salary & Package: c£45,000 to £50,000 as a guide + 25 days holiday + banks. Wider development opportunities.

Job will suit

• A proven Engineer with both mechanical and electrical projects experience.
• Comfortable with mechanical CAD design (Solidworks) and based circuit designs.
• Wider experience supporting projects from concept through to design.
• Flexible in nature, sometimes the role will be heavily design focused, other stages of the project will require more hands-on support with regards to testing, assembly etc.
• PCB Design would be advantageous, but not essential.

Job will involve

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD (Solidworks)
• Design and support electrical/electronic subsystems (PCB layout coordination, wiring harnesses, sensors etc)
• Build and test prototypes
• Select components and materials based on cost, manufacturability, and performance
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
