Procurement Specialist
Energy & Utilities, Teesside, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Developing procurement strategies across electricity, natural gas, utilities and emissions allowances.
- Leading energy sourcing, including fixed, indexed and blended pricing models.
- Monitoring energy markets, pricing trends and regulatory developments.
- Managing relationships with energy suppliers, brokers and intermediaries.
- Supporting energy budgeting, forecasting, consumption analysis and cost modelling.
- Identifying opportunities around green electricity, PPAs, biomethane and solar.
- Developing strategies to manage energy price volatility and supply risk.
- Supporting wider carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years' procurement/sourcing experience.
- Proven experience negotiating in commercially complex or volatile markets.
- Strong understanding of energy procurement, utilities or energy markets.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills.
- Ideally experience within chemical, process, manufacturing, industrial or other energy-intensive environments.
- Experience with CCL, EII, NCC, CPS or renewable energy procurement would be advantageous.
