QC Chemist job opportunity for a leading chemicals manufacturer based in Lancashire. The role is site‑based and permanent, located in Lancashire. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 4.30pm (40.75 hours per week) with some flexibility. Salary range £28,000 to £33,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing of incoming raw materials, final products and environmental samples using wet chemistry techniques (pH, viscosity, etc.) and UV, IR, GC, and AA instrumentation.
  • Carrying out method development and validation where required.
  • Ensuring laboratory compliance and maintaining standards.
  • Assisting with out‑of‑spec results, providing corrective actions and addressing customer queries.
  • Recording all results on computer systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Science qualification, ideally Chemistry at A-level or above.
  • Experience in chromatography and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory (ISO, GMP, UKAS).
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work full‑time permanently in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship available).
