Quality Inspector
Salary: £32,000 + Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
An established engineering and manufacturing business in Poole is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its growing Quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct goods inward and final inspection activities.
- Inspect components against engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Operate a range of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges and indicators.
- Create and maintain CMM inspection programmes.
- Complete inspection reports, NCRs and quality documentation.
- Support root‑cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Assist with PPAP, FAIR and ISIR documentation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to ensure product conformity.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of metrology and dimensional inspection.
- Experience using CMM equipment and inspection software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable.
