Role Overview
As an electric vehicle infrastructure engineer, you will join a dynamic field‑based team to commission, maintain, and support fast, rapid, and ultra‑rapid EV chargers across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, upgrade, and troubleshoot AC and DC EV chargers.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, reporting unsafe events, conditions, and incidents, and supporting business and customer safety initiatives.
- Conduct electrical testing and periodic inspections of charging equipment and associated supplies.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with contractors and customers, both on‑site and digitally.
- Manage and report own vehicle stock levels.
- Analyse and process data to optimise contract performance.
- Handle emergency repairs and support out‑of‑hours work as part of a regular standby call‑out rota.
- Complete product training and achieve Highways Sector Scheme accreditation.
- Assist with customer‑specific product training, which may include overseas travel.
- Support work in other areas when required, including occasional overnight stays.
- Assist engineers working on traffic signals and associated equipment.
