We’re looking for a dedicated Lecturer – Plumbing & Gas to join a forward-thinking Further Education provider with a strong reputation for technical and vocational excellence. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, inclusive teaching to Apprentices, helping learners build practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge that support long-term career success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver engaging Plumbing & Gas lessons to Apprentices and learners
- Develop learner-centred schemes of work and assessment strategies
- Track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing interventions where needed
- Provide constructive feedback that promotes learner independence and confidence
- Support learners with varying barriers to education in an inclusive environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and education practice
What We’re Looking For:
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
- Level 3 CAVA qualification
- Current Gas Safe Registration
- IQA Level 4 qualification desirable
- 3–5 years’ post-qualification industry experience
- Experience teaching Plumbing & Gas in Further Education, ideally Apprenticeships
- Strong organisational, communication and learner support skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
