Responsibilities
- Rapidly respond to plant breakdowns, restoring production quickly and safely.
- Deliver permanent engineering solutions, not just quick fixes.
- Carry out planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Diagnose faults across conveyors, crushers, pumps, gearboxes and vibratory screens.
- Take ownership of small improvement projects.
- Support continuous improvement and eliminate repeat failures.
- Work closely with contractors and suppliers onsite.
- Perform high‑quality welding and fabrication.
- Use CMMS systems to log maintenance activity and track performance.
- Uphold and champion Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Mechanical apprenticeship (higher level).
- Experience in heavy industry, quarrying, manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong skills in mechanical fault finding and diagnostics.
- Confidence working with bearings, drives, motors and plant equipment.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a 24/7 operation.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
