JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Transport Planner to join our busy Milton Keynes Depot. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transport planning experience who thrives in a fast-paced transport operation. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective planning and coordination of transport operations, ensuring palletised freight is loaded, unloaded, and moved efficiently and accurately in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate transport routes to meet customer collection and delivery requirements, ensuring optimal fleet utilisation
- Operate a forklift truck (counterbalance) safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trailers and vehicles in a timely and accurate manner
- Sort, scan, and check freight against relevant documentation
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures, site rules, and company policies
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in planning multi-drop collections and deliveries
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Previous warehouse or pallet network experience desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under pressure

- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- FLT Licence
- Experience of Ms Office
- Confident and efficient approach to planning
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain clear focus upon priorities
