The Role
This is an interesting opportunity for someone to get involved in shaping strategy and the future payroll operating model of the business:
- Lead the development of a scalable, global payroll operating model aligned to Group standards.
- Define the payroll systems, tools, and technology required to simplify and standardise processes.
- Own the global payroll process framework, ensuring strong governance and consistency.
- Establish baseline cost and activity insights to support future-state design decisions.
- Set payroll workstream objectives and deliver initiatives through clear, executable plans.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and issues across the payroll workstream and wider programmes.
- Provide expertise on payroll resourcing, budgets, and team mobilisation.
- Act as the payroll SME across finance and transformation projects, embedding global controls and ways of working.
- Own the multi-year payroll roadmap and ensure projects meet governance and approval requirements.
- Support key initiatives including global payroll platform rollout, UK payrolling of benefits, and pay group harmonisation.
- Define and track standard payroll KPIs across all regions.
- Drive continuous improvement, change management, and clear communications in partnership with the PMO.
