Construction Materials Testing Technician
Client is currently seeking an experienced construction materials technician for a full-time position. The job is based out of Oxford, Mississippi and requires day travel to various job sites with occasional overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field and/or laboratory testing, construction observation, and inclination of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
- Candidate should be able to communicate test results in a clear and concise manner with appropriate individuals.
- Work will require tabulation and calculation of laboratory results and preparation of field reports.
- Also includes maintaining and cleaning equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Will occasionally require work with drill rig during geotechnical investigations. Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs. multiple times a day
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum ACI Field Grade I. Minimum
- One year of experience performing nuclear density testing of soils
- One year of experience in concrete testing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
