My client, an Independent Financial Advisors, with offices near St Pauls, are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of their business and ensure operational effectiveness across all areas. The role acts as a key link between strategic objectives and operational delivery, supporting the smooth execution of business processes, maintaining regulatory standards, and driving efficiency across teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Finance & Accounting
- Ensure business income is accurately reconciled within internal systems
- Support the preparation of management and company accounts
- Oversee monthly payroll processes
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements
- Manage introducer and third-party payments
- Carry out company bank reconciliations
- Oversee and manage third-party technology platforms and systems
- Regulation & Compliance
- Support regulatory reporting and submissions
- Maintain ongoing compliance requirements for the business
- Liaise with external compliance partners as required
- Support CPD tracking and internal compliance processes
- Oversee file review processes and management information reporting
- Support governance meetings and internal committees
- HR
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintain employment documentation and HR records
- Assist with performance review processes
- Support staff engagement and incentive programmes
- Company Administration & Operations
- Oversee IT systems, security, and business software

WHO YOU ARE
- 5 years+ experience as an Operations Manager within financial services
- Experience supporting or managing teams within financial services
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Professional qualifications (e.g. financial services, project management or accounting) are desirable
- Strong IT skills, including confident use of Excel and business systems
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented individual who will:
- Work effectively as part of a team and with senior stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Manage workload efficiently and prioritise effectively
- Take a structured and methodical approach to tasks
