A well established organisation within the construction and renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Solar PV Designer to support increasing demand across commercial solar projects. This position will focus primarily on the design and technical delivery of Solar PV installations, while also supporting clients, site surveys, and installation teams throughout projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design commercial rooftop Solar PV systems using PVSol or similar design software
- Attend site visits and assist with technical surveys
- Work closely with clients to discuss project requirements and provide technical guidance
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers
- Support Solar PV project coordination and contract administration activities
- Assist with overseeing installation teams where required
- Stay informed on industry developments, standards, and emerging Solar PV technologies
Essential Requirements
- Electrical qualifications including 18th Edition
- Recognised Level 3 Solar PV qualification or equivalent
- Proven Solar PV design experience
- Experience using PVSol or similar Solar PV design platforms
- Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain or hold an Enhanced DBS certificate
Desirable Experience
- Commercial rooftop Solar PV project experience
- Project coordination or project management exposure
- Technical sales or customer-facing experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software
