Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer with hands‑on experience in CO₂ systems to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their expertise, as full training will be provided in ammonia (NH₃) refrigeration systems. You’ll be working on a variety of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair CO₂ refrigeration systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation
- Participate in on-call rota (if applicable)
- Undertake training and development in ammonia refrigeration systems
Requirements
- Proven experience working with CO₂ refrigeration systems
- Relevant refrigeration / HVAC qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- F-Gas certification (essential)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to learn and develop ammonia refrigeration skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous experience with ammonia (NH₃) systems
- Experience in industrial refrigeration environments
- Electrical qualifications or strong electrical knowledge
