A Quality Inspector opportunity has become available with a growing Nottingham based precision engineering business supplying complex components into a wide range of industries. With continued investment and a strong order book, the company is now looking to strengthen its Quality team with the addition of a Quality Inspector on a permanent day shift basis. Quality Inspector responsibilities:

  • Reading from technical drawings, work on first-off and final inspection activities using handheld inspection tools.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and customer quality documentation packs.
  • Support calibration activities for internal inspection equipment.
  • Complete non-conformance reports and assist with root cause investigations alongside production teams.
  • Set and operate CMM equipment (programming experience advantageous but not essential).

Quality Inspector desirable skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working within a similar position - Mechanical Inspector etc.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
  • Experience using standard inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
  • Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • CMM experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to support continuous improvement activities.
