Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Mechanical and Electrical Design & Build Contractor operating across commercial and industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Project Engineer to join their Nottingham office.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of mechanical HVAC projects ranging from £50k to £5m+, managing projects from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical HVAC projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare technical submissions, equipment schedules, and project documentation.
- Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Coordinate site works and manage subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs, variations, forecasts, and applications for payment.
- Attend client, site, and subcontractor meetings.
- Resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Oversee commissioning activities and project handovers.
- Prepare O&M manuals and provide technical support to clients.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 10 years' experience within the Mechanical HVAC Design & Build sector.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services.
- Good knowledge of Auto CAD and BIM software.
- Commercial awareness and project cost management experience.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
