Further your career and take on a new challenge as a WCA Assessor! We are now recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a supportive, locally owned assessment provider.

As a WCA Assessor you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive Work Capability Assessments (WCA) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Benefits Include:

  • Basic salary £39,500 + 10% Performance bonus
  • Hybrid, Approx 2-3 days in clinic per week
  • Full time Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9-5pm (37.5 hours per week)
  • Training: Full time, 6 weeks
  • 25 days Holidays per annum

Your New Role:

As a WCA Assessor, you will conduct 5-6 assessments per day including telephone/face to face assessment and report writing. Your cases and appointments will be spread throughout the day allowing you to have greater job autonomy to manage cases to conclusion. You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments. You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
  • 2+ years post qualification experience.
  • Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.
