Draper & Nichols LTD is an established and respected building contractor with a strong reputation for quality and long-standing client partnerships. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at our Head Office in Norwich.

The role

This is a full-time, permanent role where you will play a key part in the successful delivery of our projects. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring costs are well managed and work is delivered to the expected quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep project costs under control while maintaining high standards
  • Measure and value works both from drawings and on site
  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs
  • Price, negotiate and agree variations and additional works
  • Produce timely interim valuations and final accounts
  • Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries
  • Review and assess sub-contractor quotations carefully
  • Build and manage relationships with sub-contractors through clear negotiation
  • Prepare and issue contractual correspondence
  • Support estimating when needed
