Contract Opportunity – Outside IR35 (2+ months, potential extensions)
ARCA Resourcing is proud to partner with an innovative engineering organization at the forefront of next‑electric propulsion technology. We’re looking for an experienced Hardware Technician to support the build and development of advanced electric drive systems in a fast‑paced R&D environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building, modifying, and maintaining prototype motors, inverters, wiring harnesses, and test boxes
- PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and fault finding
- Supporting prototype testing, data capture, and issue resolution
- Working closely with engineers to interpret drawings, BOMs, and design updates
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and fully operational engineering lab
- Managing tooling, calibration, stock, and consumables
- Ensuring accurate build documentation and configuration control
- Working safely with AC/DC systems up to 600 V / 25 kW
- Contributing to continuous improvement of lab processes and workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Hands‑on hardware build and assembly experience
- Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, and test tools
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow build instructions
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation standards
- Good understanding of ESD and electrical safety practices

- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Initially up to 8 weeks (likely extension)
- Hours: Flexible / mutually agreed
- Based onsite Monday – Friday
