Essential Criteria
- Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
- Must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Engineering / HGV.
- Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
- Must have experience within Teaching/Assessing/ Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications).
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
- Must be flexible with travel.
Duties
- Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
- Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
