Elvet Recruitment is looking for a Design/Proposals Engineer to work for a global business with a UK office based in Durham. The company is a designer and manufacturer of electrical products used in Data Centre and Industrial projects across 130 countries. The head office and manufacturing facility is based in Istanbul, with additional locations in Germany, France, UAE, Australia and the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Technical analysis of requirements
- Development of technical proposals
- Creation of project documents (drawings and datasheets)
- Offer preparation in SAP (with support from MD)
- Drafting supporting documentation
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline and/or previous experience in a similar role.
Required Skills:
- Ability to critically analyze technical and commercial documentation
- Experience in drafting offers in SAP
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; a second language is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and main IT tools; experience with SAP systems is a plus
Fundamental Knowledge:
- Understanding of design fundamentals
- Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical engineering principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
Additional Knowledge:
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong critical analysis, attention to detail, and precision
