We’re recruiting for a Technical Manager with a strong HVAC / Air Conditioning background to support a major facilities management contract in Newcastle. This is a leadership role managing a team of 15 engineers, focused on technical delivery, compliance and performance across HVAC systems — all within a 100% office-based environment.
The Role
- Managing and supporting a team of 15 HVAC / AC engineers
- Overseeing PPM and reactive maintenance delivery across the contract
- Acting as the technical lead for HVAC systems and escalations
- Driving system performance, uptime and energy efficiency
- Leading on compliance, including F-Gas and health & safety
- Managing projects including upgrades, installs and lifecycle works
- Working closely with the client and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong HVAC / Air Conditioning background within FM
- Experience managing or supervising engineering teams
- Good understanding of compliance (F-Gas, H&S, etc.)
- Experience in maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
