As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of façade replacement and external envelope refurbishment works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and site logistics while maintaining strict compliance with Health & Safety legislation and project specifications. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, enabling them to identify risks, resolve technical issues, monitor project performance, and implement practical solutions to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of façade replacement and cladding remediation projects.
- Supervise direct labour, subcontractors, and specialist façade installers.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate site activities, deliveries, plant, scaffolding, and access systems.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and Health & Safety compliance.
- Review drawings, specifications, and installation details to ensure accurate construction.
- Identify technical issues and implement effective solutions in collaboration with design and project teams.
- Monitor progress against programme and report delays, risks, and mitigation measures.
- Produce and review RAMS, permits, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Ensure all site records, daily diaries, progress reports, and photographic evidence are maintained accurately.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure defects are identified and rectified promptly.
- Coordinate snagging activities through to practical completion.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders professionally.
- Ensure materials are delivered, stored, and installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.
- Participate in weekly planning and coordination meetings.
- Report accidents, near misses, and HSE visits in accordance with company procedures.
