Job Description
Concept Engineer (Vehicle Architecture / Cockpit Systems)
Location: Crewe (Hybrid Working) Rate: £38.00 per hour (Inside IR35) Contract: Until October 2026 Hours: 37 hours per week
ARM are recruiting for an experienced Concept Engineer to join a leading automotive manufacturer on a long-term contract basis.
Working within a Vehicle Architecture team, you will support the development of current and future vehicle programmes, creating and delivering innovative cockpit and interior architecture concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle architecture concepts for cockpit and interior systems.
- Create and maintain CATIA V5 CAD solutions.
- Support integration of Class-A surfaces, package requirements and engineering constraints.
- Resolve packaging and integration challenges.
- Ensure compliance with technical and legislative requirements.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking.
- Lead technical reviews and present solutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate across engineering, design and manufacturing teams.
Essential Experience
- Automotive concept engineering, vehicle architecture, packaging or systems integration experience.
- Strong CATIA V5 skills with the ability to develop models from concept stage.
- Experience resolving packaging and integration challenges.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and develop robust engineering solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within cross-functional automotive teams.
Desirable Experience
- Cockpit architecture and interior systems experience.
- Experience within automotive OEMs or engineering consultancies.
- Knowledge of vehicle development processes.
- Familiarity with Volkswagen Group engineering systems.
- German skills.
