Job Overview

Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) division. You will bring your expert knowledge and problem‑solving skills directly to our members wherever they are – from driveways to office car parks, delivering first‑class service without the limitations of a traditional garage.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests at members’ locations using the supplied RAC van and fuel card.
• Perform high‑quality repairs and maintenance on light vehicles.
• Maintain a healthy work‑life balance within a 40‑hour week.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction at every visit.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: £38,625 per year with potential to reach £53,000 plus overtime.
• Overtime opportunities: two extra days a month could add £5,760; end‑of‑shift overtime up to £3,000.

Requirements

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
