Network Infrastructure Project Manager

12‑Month Fixed Term Contract in Milton Keynes

Up to £50,000 DOE + Hybrid Working + Travel Expenses

Job Overview

A leading services provider to retail stores and banks across the UK needs an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a critical infrastructure project. The successful candidate will manage the end‑to‑end delivery of projects focused on re‑organising data cabling and installing new communications cabinets across multiple retail sites.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver network infrastructure projects in line with business needs.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Coordinate site surveys and oversee the installation of communications cabinets and cabling.
  • Ensure accurate network documentation and that all work meets industry standards and company policies.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and external vendors.
  • Provide regular progress updates, manage risks and issues, and enforce compliance with project quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing network infrastructure projects in retail or multi‑site environments.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling, network hardware, and communications cabinet installations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Prince2, or Agile methodologies.
  • Technical certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent (desirable, not essential).

Contract & Location

  • Contract length: 12 months
  • Hybrid role based out of Milton Keynes with occasional travel to customer sites (travel expenses fully expensed).
